Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen an uptick in scam emails where spammers impersonate verified Wix Partners—like us—to contact small business owners with fake warnings or offers.
These emails can look alarmingly real at first glance, but they’re designed to trick you into clicking links, sharing sensitive info, or even making payments for services you don’t need.
Here’s how to stay one step ahead.
What’s Happening?
Scammers are targeting site owners by scraping public contact details and reaching out using fake Gmail addresses. They often pose as Wix support or a trusted partner, sending messages that reference security alerts, account verification, or urgent compliance issues.
These emails are not from Wix. And they’re definitely not legitimate.

How to Identify a Scam Email
Here are a few signs an email isn’t what it seems:
1. It’s coming from a generic email addressA real Wix email will always come from @wix.com. Any message from a Wix Partner (like us) should come from a branded domain such as @flowcre8tive.com.au.
If it's coming from a Gmail, Outlook or other free account—it’s almost definitely a scam.
2. No proper intro or sign-off: If the sender doesn’t introduce themselves by name or their signature is vague and generic, proceed with caution. Our emails always include a proper name, position, and business contact details.
3. The branding feels off: Fraudulent emails often include incorrect logos, broken formatting, or oddly worded messages. When in doubt—ask us directly.

What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Email
If something doesn’t look quite right, here’s your action plan:
Don’t click links or download attachments
Don’t reply to the sender
Forward the email to us at contact@flowcre8tive.com.au] and we’ll confirm if it’s real or not
Report it to Wix through their official Identifying and Reporting Phishing resource
Mark it as spam in your Wix Inbox
Enable CAPTCHA on your forms to help block bots and spam entries — see Protecting Your Site Forms from Spam with a CAPTCHA Field

You’re Safe with Us
Let us reassure you—there are no security, compliance, or SEO issues with your site unless we’ve spoken to you directly. We’ll never reach out through your site’s contact form, or ask you to verify sensitive details via email.
If you ever feel unsure, don’t hesitate to ask. We’d much rather double check something than have you risk a click that could compromise your account.
