The Sea Breeze is a boutique coastal motel in Timaru, New Zealand, offering accommodation for both leisure and business guests.
With a playful coastal identity and a nostalgic charm, the business needed a website that felt full of character while still being polished, professional and easy to use.
Flow Cre8tive redesigned the website in Wix Classic, uplifted the visual brand experience, set up CMS-driven room and activity pages, and created a stronger online presence to support guests from discovery through to booking.

THE BRIEF
The Sea Breeze team had attempted to build their website themselves, but with the demands of setting up a new motel, they needed support creating a site that properly reflected the quality and personality of the brand.
The project required a complete website redesign, uplifted visual direction, CMS setup for rooms and activities, external booking pathway, Google Maps integration, FAQ, contact forms, image sourcing, on-page SEO and mobile optimisation.
The goal was to create a stylish, easy-to-manage website that appealed to leisure travellers looking for a coastal getaway and business guests needing comfortable accommodation in Timaru.
THE APPROACH
We focused on creating a website that balanced personality with practicality.
The site was structured to help visitors explore room options, learn more about Timaru, discover local activities and access booking information with ease.
CMS-driven pages were set up for Rooms and Activities, allowing accommodation details and local experience content to be managed efficiently through Wix while keeping the design consistent across the site.
Design & Branding
The redesign celebrated The Sea Breeze’s coastal identity while giving the motel a more polished and modern online presence.
Using the existing logo as a foundation, we explored colours, fonts, texture, graphics and visual styling to create a brighter, more cohesive website experience.
The creative direction was playful yet polished, blending nostalgic coastal charm with a fresh, modern guest experience. The design was shaped to feel relaxed, welcoming and full of character, while still being clear and easy to navigate for both leisure and business guests.
SEO & TECHNICAL OPTIMISATION
The website was built in Wix Classic with a focus on usability, mobile optimisation, content management and search visibility.
CMS setup was created for the Rooms and Activities pages, making it easier for the client to manage accommodation and local experience content.
The website also included an external booking pathway, Google Maps integration, FAQ section, contact forms, Explore Timaru page, Booking Policy page, Privacy Policy page and custom 404 page.
On-page SEO was applied across relevant website components, including heading structure, metadata, descriptive URLs, image alt text, internal linking and Google Search Console setup.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The completed website gives The Sea Breeze a stronger digital presence that better reflects the personality, quality and guest experience of the motel.
By combining uplifted brand design, CMS-driven content, guest-focused functionality and SEO foundations, the website is now easier to manage, easier to navigate and better aligned with the business.
