Beauty eCommerce Website for Five O5 (Mineral Eyeshadow)
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Five O5 is a clean beauty brand specialising in mineral eyeshadows formulated for high-performance colour with skin-first ingredients. The brief was to design a conversion-led, editorial eCommerce experience that showcases shades, finishes, and ingredient transparency while making it effortless to shop on mobile.

THE BRIEF
Create a premium, minimalist storefront that feels editorial yet approachable; highlight shade range, finish (matte/shimmer), and key benefits (clean, gentle, buildable) with clear paths to purchase.
THE APPROACH
We mapped journeys for two core shoppers: shade explorers (browsing inspiration) and returning buyers (fast repurchase).
Category pages emphasise filters for finish, tone family, and bestsellers; PDPs foreground swatches, ingredients, wear tips, and “pair with” cross-sells.
Design & Branding
A soft neutral palette with charcoal accents keeps the interface clean and product-first. Macro product photography, crisp grid layouts, and refined type create a calm, luxury beauty feel. Micro-interactions (hover states, smooth transitions) add polish without slowing the shop.
SEO & TECHNICAL OPTIMISATION
On-page SEO targets “mineral eyeshadow,” “clean eyeshadow,” “vegan eyeshadow Australia,” and “sensitive eyes skin-safe makeup.” We implemented descriptive alt text for swatches, semantic headings, product/schema markup, and lightweight image optimisation for fast mobile loads.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The new Five O5 storefront delivers a refined, ingredient-led beauty experience that helps shoppers discover the right shade quickly and buy with confidence. The balance of editorial storytelling and clean UX supports both discovery and repeat purchases.
Results Highlights (qualitative):
● Clearer shade discovery and faster add-to-cart behaviour on mobile
● Stronger search visibility for clean/mineral eyeshadow terms
● Increased engagement with PDP content (swatches, wear tips, ingredient callouts)
